JERRY THOMPSON & SONS PAINTING, INC. is a family owned and operated painting and decorating business. A spin-off from WG Thompson, Inc., that was started in the early 1900's. JTS has been in existence since 1994.
History
The history of JTS in the painting industry is extensive and goes back many years with roots back to the late 1800’s. Collectively, the principals of JTS have over 100 years of painting experience and expertise.
The Thompson family has been painting in the San Francisco and Greater Bay Area for six generations.
Personnel
Our office staff and union personnel are some of the best in the industry. Our employees are trained to respond to the needs of our customers in a safe, efficient and courteous manner. Currently, our office employs 18 office personnel and 200 field personnel.
Safety
Our current EMR rating for 2008-2009 is .68. We have a company wide commitment to Safety, not only to our employees but for our Customers as well. SAFETY is a minute by minute, hourly and daily concern for us. We strive for zero injuries. We take pride in the fact that we are always working at maintaining and improving our excellent safety record, yet not compromising the quality of our work. We have an IIPP (INJURY ILLNESS & PREVENTION PROGRAM) which meets State and Federal OSHA requirements. Our Company wide safety topics/training sessions are held weekly and are conducted on the job sites.
Apprentices
Our apprentices are trained through an industry approved Program State indentured Apprenticeship Training Program which takes three (3) years to complete. Our supervisors and foremen are DHS certified by State of California for lead abatement projects.
